Do I have to own the car to use Plated?+
No. Anyone can browse Discover, look up a reg, join groups and ask questions. To post a build, claim the reg with a quick photo check so every car on Plated is the real owner’s.
Can people find me from my reg?+
They see the car and its build, never where you live or drive. Showing your handle on the car is off by default, and you can make a car private any time.
Someone spotted my car. Is it public?+
Not until you approve it. Spots of your car wait for you on your car’s profile; show the ones you like, hide the rest, and change your mind any time.
Who sees where I drive?+
Only you. Explored roads are private. Raw GPS points are deleted as soon as they’re matched to roads, and recaps never include speeds.
What does Pro add?+
Your full build log (free includes 3 mods), up to 6 photos per mod, photos in group posts, up to 5 cars, monthly and yearly recaps, the Roads Passport and every reminder. €4.99 a month or €34.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial.
What happens if I stop paying?+
Nothing you made disappears. Your mods and photos stay on your build; you just can’t add more than the free plan allows until you come back.
When is it out?+
Plated is in TestFlight beta on iPhone now, with the App Store launch to follow. Android is on the roadmap.
